Hominy Grits

Yield: 4 servings


1½ C water
1½ C 2% milk
¾ C stone-ground grits
¾ C shreddd sharp cheddar cheese
3 Tbsp grated Parmigiano cheese
¼ tsp salt
1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce


  1. Bring water and milk to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add grits; cook according to package directions. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients. If grits become too thick, add ¼ to ½ cup milk.
  4. Keep warm in a double boiler.
