Yield: 4 servings


White potatoes as needed for recipe or number of servings


  1. Rinse potatoes, peel and shred.
  2. Soak in water for at least ½ hour to remove starch.
  3. Drain and dry with paper towels.
  4. Saute in butter or oil until cooked to the ¾ point.
  5. Potatoes are now ready for any recipe calling for frozen hash-browns, or finish cooking and serve immediately.
