White potatoes as needed for recipe or number of servings
- Rinse potatoes, peel and shred.
- Soak in water for at least ½ hour to remove starch.
- Drain and dry with paper towels.
- Saute in butter or oil until cooked to the ¾ point.
- Potatoes are now ready for any recipe calling for frozen hash-browns, or finish cooking and serve immediately.
